Greetings to the many lists this will be posted upon. I wanted to take a moment and remind the members of the Ravenhyrst_Newcomers e-list, that this YahooGroup is not only my way of disseminating information to members and interested parties about what's going on in Caerthe/Ravenhyrst, it's supposed to be a newcomer's forum for the Canton. We've had quite a few newcomers to the list and to the group and I'd like to encourage discussion here about topics of interest to newcomers. I know when I joined the society many years ago, I was filled with questions - from 'how do I make a cloak' to 'does anyone in the SCA know anything about soapmaking' to 'how do people get asked to serve on a royal retinue.' Feel free to ask questions, post information you think others would benefit from and chat with each other. My 2 pence.
