Due to the fact that some spam programs have figured out how to get around the Captcha system in the comments, and because so far, noone has found a reason to post to a news item, we've disabled comments on news articles. We will evaluate this later if the need to re-activate comments arises.

Raven's Faire Success!

Raven's Faire 2011 was a great success!
The addition of the fighting scenarios expanded the reach of the event. We are now looking ahead to 2012. If you have any ideas for Raven's Faire 2012 or another Canton event, please send me an email at seneschal@ravenhyrst.org. We are not taking official bids at this time given the pending event policy rewrite, but I do want people to start thinking about it.

Fighter Practice Cancellations in August!

Fighter practices will NOT be held on the 7th and 21st of August.
Bofharrach Clan Wars takes place on August 7th, and Stags Bloodbath on the 21st.
All other fighter practices in August will be held as scheduled.
Raven's Faire to be held October 1st

The canton is currently looking for officers:
Knight Marshal (white belt not required)
Captain of Archers
Chronicler (someone to help keep the poor Seneschals note taking in order).
Please contact the sitting officer for more information about the responsibilities. Letters of intent should be sent to the sitting officer and Canton Seneschal.
